The town of Rifle where I live had a GREAT guitar tech….I know because he was my brother! When Dale Quinty of GuitFxr was becoming overwhelmed with all the work here in town I started performing setups and electronics upgrades and repairs. When Dale decided to move, someone had to fill that void and it was right up my alley!! Dale taught me some of his tricks of the trade before he moved and then I had to educate myself with lots of practice on what most were calling “totaled” guitars. Broken necks, bad frets, headstock cracks….you name it and I repaired it! I already had a background in electronics and my OCD tendencies made it hard to not setup and repair guitars to perfection! I received some training from Frank Ford and Dan Erlewine (via video) and many others in this field of work and I LOVE doing it! As they say “The rest is history!”
